Road trip to Mississippi

Last week we took Coleton and Kylee with us to visit my family in Mississippi. They were so good and we had so much fun! We really wanted to take them since we've never had them by ourselves on a road trip before. We knew it would be a blast. We swam, shopped, ate at snow biz and got to celebrate Katy's 20th birthday while we were there. I really wished we could have stayed a few more days. Even Coleton wanted to stay which was huge... even though I think he just liked being able to swim everyday.

We also took them to the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art in Laurel, MS.

Week 12 Breakdown

How Far Along: 12 weeks and 3 days

Size of Baby: Plum

Gender: Still not sure

Movement: Still nothing, but I am so ready!

Weight Gain: Still only about 1-2lbs. I had weight to lose, so I'm guessing I have lost that and now I'm just adding back the baby lbs.

Maternity Clothes: I've had a breakdown or two shopping for clothes now. I can't find any pants that are comfortable. The maternity capri pants I got were so cute... BUT they slowly feel down and my crotch was sagging. It was awful. Now, I just want to find some comfy yoga pants or just more dresses to wear. Can't wait til winter so I can wear my sweatpants everyday!

Sleep Habits: Cody elevated our bed to help with my heartburn and acid reflux. My new medicine seems to be helping majorly so that's a plus. I've been sleeping pretty good though. I've been trying to be in the bed by 10:30 since I still seem to get up at least once in the middle of the night.

Cravings/Aversions: Mexican food is still out. Someone bought me Chiplote and you know I can't turn down free food... but of course, I regretted it as soon as my head hit the pillow. I still have no appetite though. I don't want anything really until I see it. I have started eating my salads for lunch again and upped my fiber content and has made a world of difference in the way my body feels.

Emotions: We had a doctor's appt. on the 20th and got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. It was 160. Honestly, it was more exciting this time around. I imagined all the worst things. I really thought I had killed it somehow. (eating that deli meat from Publix...epp!) So, I was really happy when we heard the heartbeat. It was so magical. Scary, still and I'm still freaking out on the inside, but magical.

Symptoms: Bloating. Tired. Sweating.

Weddings rings on/off: On

What I Miss: Having energy.

What I'm Looking Forward To: Having an appetite again.

Last Wednesday, we got to celebrate with Dehrae for her birthday!  You can barely see, but there is a bump coming out under my new favorite top!

Week 10 Breakdown

How Far Along: 10 weeks and 3 days

Size of Baby: Prune - about an inch and a half

Gender: Still not sure

Movement: Nothing yet!

Weight Gain: Only about 1-2lbs.

Maternity Clothes: I'm using the belly band on my tighter jeans so it's not pushing on my belly while I sit at work. I got a few new dresses that I can wear for a while and a maternity top and capris from Old Navy. Tunics are great!

Sleep Habits: Good now that I'm not peeing so much. I stopped drinking so much after 9pm. I am also trying to be in bed by 10:30. My heartburn medicine has also helped.

Cravings/Aversions: Mexican food, BBQ and sadly sherbert are all on my do not eat list. They don't make me feel good at all. I actually do want anything. It really sucks. I am having to make myself eat. I get sick b/c I wait so long to eat, but I just don't want anything. Fruit is my go to since it's so easy.

Emotions: I'm still really nervous. I think once I know if the nugget is a boy or girl I'll be excited. I'm a little stressed since we are house hunting so that's adding to the craziness.

Symptoms: Bloating. Tired.

What I Miss: BBQ. Having energy.

What I'm Looking Forward To: Finding out the sex. Decorating the baby room. (After we find a house!)

Megan and Jimmy

This weekend, one of the most amazing girls I know got hitched. I met Megan over the internet when we were Freshman in college. We all had Xanga's and when I moved to South Carolina in 2006, we all went to college together and were "real" friends. She has always been the life of the party and full of self confidence. She knows she is freaking awesome. She can talk her way into anything and everyone loves her. She is kind, generous and is a good listener... but most of all she can help you forget your problems when you just want to get away. It was so wonderful so see how much Jimmy loves her. The joy on his face the whole day was just beautiful. She deserves that much love. I am so thankful that the Lord doesn't know age or time, b/c these two are perfect.

Meg & Dehrae

It was such a great night. It was fun to catch up with old friend and most of them rub on my belly. I felt great the whole day and was so thankful I made it through the night. The baby must have known it was an important day, b/c it did really well.
