I'm 27 now, no big... whatevs

So I skipped a few days on my blog. I'm 27 now. We celebrated. It came and went. I'm ok. No breakdowns just lots of food.

On Friday, my best friend from home, Amy sent me a necklace that I've wanted ever since I saw her wearing it years ago. It has a wishbone charm. I love it! It's great when friends remember things you've said long after you've forgotton. Thanks, Amy!

I went to lunch w/Emily & Dana at Sidetracked, of course!

Pecan custed pork tender loin w/a sweet potato and green beans. YUM!

On Saturday, Cody gave me my birthday goodies... lots of Love Spell from Victoria Secret and a DIAMOND necklace. He is a good husband... always! We ate lunch at Olive Garden and then went to visit a local rec center that we're thinking of joining. Eat pasta... go to the gym... typical.

He surprised me for dinner by taking me to Rick Erwin's on the west end in downtown Greenville. Overpriced but good. This was our meal... that cost us over $100.  That's right, two steaks, two sides... $100... plus tip. We both drank water! Of course it was good and two years ago this wouldn't have phased us throwing down that much for a nice special dinner... but now, whoa.

We tried on hats during Artisphere in Greenville

After dinner he took me to the Melting Pot for dessert.... loved it!

I am so lucky to have such a loving husband... everyday... not just on special occassions. I really like him.

On Sunday... I turned 27 and went to church. There was a black snake in church... I'm glad they found it before the service b/c I would have come unglued had it slithered by me during the service. I wish I had got a picture! Dana and her son, Collin took us to lunch at Panchos afterwards.

That afternoon we spent the day taking engagement pictures of Emily and David on top of Glassy Mountain in Landrum, SC. I love it up there. It is like my 2nd home.

They made us dinner and Emily baked me red velvet cupcakes for birthday b/c they are my favorite!

Overall the weekend was great... kind of a whirlwind of lots of food, but that's the way I like it. We had lots of leftovers that I'm still munching on!

Turning 27 has been an eye opener. I don't get to be wreakless anymore or atleast that's what I feel like. We talked about me going to grad school when Cody finishes... postponing babies so I could go to the Portfolio Center in Atlanta now. I was accepted a few years back but didn't go b/c of the high costs but it could be possible now. I'm waiting on God to show me the answer. It'll be a few years before that would happen so we'll see what happens. All I know is, I'm where God wants me. I'm happy. Someone told me yesterday that I've matured a lot in the last 6 months... I guess finally be stable will do that to you. The past couple of years I've been graduating... changing jobs... moving... getting married... it's one huge thing after another and I'm actually settling in now. It feels nice.
