You wanna go halves on a baby?

Oh, life has been happening and I've been living it.... hence the lack of blogging.

We had such a fun weekend. It's been a whirlwind for sure. On Friday, we went to go see Thor. I loved it. I don't know anything about the actual comic book or Thor except for the kid in that movie " Adventures in babysitting" and the kid like loves him and wears his helmet everywhere. Anyway, I liked the movie.

On Saturday, I had the adult and graduate school graduation at 10 a.m. It went by pretty fast. I do love graduation days. They are full of so much happiness and relief.

Cora came after lunch and we were so excited. I loved having her here. There was life in Central! John came over and we all went on a journey... here are some shots from the weekend...

We had dinner at Barley's in downtown Greenville... of course, Flat Stanley was with us the whole time!

Then we went to Falls Park so Flat could visit the Liberty Bridge

We went over to our alma mater, NGU  and got to see our favorite security guard, Wes! They have changed the campus so much in the past few years. It was great to see it again. We traveled up on Glassy Mountain to visit with the Orr's. Cora and I housesat for them all through college so we had a great time visiting with them.

We took John on top of Glassy to show him the chapel and the views. I love this place more than any place in Greenville. I have so many memories here. When I think about my college days, I think about my time spent at the Cliffs at Glassy.

We went back to Clemson and took Cora to 3 Spoons! John bought us a Frozen Yogurt pie for our birthdays next weekend. They were so excited about it.

but when we got home with it, it looked like this...

So we had to eat it really fast...

and this was how they felt about the whole experience afterwards...

oh the bitterness.

On Sunday, we went to my in-laws house for Mother's day. These little bugs called secadeas were out and sounded like a space ship. They look like locust and only come out every 13 years. They sound awful and so LOUD. Apparently they are making their way here... I am getting my bug spray, shot gun, ear muffs and bug net ready.

We took Cora to dinner at Zaxby's b/c she doesn't have one at home. Poor girl.

I took a half day on Monday and spent the afternoon w/Cora. We went to go see "Something Borrowed" - class romantic comedy that doesn't show what would really happen but it was cute none the less.

On another note, Cora will be chaperoning a prom coming up and she needs a date... any takers?

It was a good random weekend full of my best friend. We took lots of walk around campus trying to get me in shape. She really does look great! If you haven't read her weight loss story, you should. She has come a long way and has had a lot of amazing acomplishments. She really did inspire me and I'm joining a gym this week. Cody and I went walking last night again. I weighed myself this morning and I've lost a pound and half since she's been here. WOO! Shocking since we ate out for every meal. I went grocery shopping last night and added a few things to meal and go Cody to buy plain yogurt instead of his sugar rush kind.

So here's to Cora, weight loss and best friends.
